This is Westport Sports Complex’s new Smarter Travel bike Shelter which is now complete. We would like to encourage all users of the Complex to park their bikes in this new shelter. Thursday 16th October 2014 was the start of many encounters with Ballina Squash Club. Ten of our senior members made their way to Ballina on a Thursday evening unaware of the standard they were to face. There were some very close games and matches throughout the evening which proved to be a huge success. We
Sunday 20/07/14 was the last day of summer professional coaching for our juniors from Ireland’s number 2 squash player Brian Byrne. We are truly grateful for the hard work and commitment Brian gave to our junior players and to show our appreciation we have made him an Honorary member of Westport Squash Club. Pictured
Since the 18th May our juniors have been receiving regular coaching on Sundays from Ireland’s number 2 squash player and coach Brian Byrne. This annual event was held at Westport Squash Club on Sunday 27th April 2014 for the very first time in the club’s history, and it went well with no problems whatsoever. There were juniors of all ages from numerous clubs competing: U17’s Cup Winner (right): Luke Bermingham (Westport) and Runner-up Ryan Hobson (Claremorris) U 15’s
On Wednesday 26/03/14 our U13’s squash team played others from Ballinrobe and Claremorris at Ballinrobe Squash Club in the knowledge that only one team could progress to representing Connaught in the All Ireland Schools Competition. Although both Claremorris and Ballinrobe put up a good fight it was Westport who were successful on the night. Let’s
